Twyning Scout Group

2nd Twyning Scout Group is a thriving Scout group based in the village of Twyning near Tewkesbury. The Group consists of a Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack and a Scout Troop.

All sections meet in Twyning Village Hall on a weekly basis.

In addition to the weekly meetings, the Group sections provide young people with the opportunities to participate in a wide range of Scouting activities and regularly participate in events organised by Tewkesbury Scout District and Gloucestershire Scout County.

We are very proud that two ex-Twyning Scouts (now Explorer Scout age) are attending the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden in July this year.

We have a dedicated and enthusiastic set of leaders and parent helpers but are always keen to encourage more adults to help us offer a wide ranging, interesting and fun programme to the young people who are members of our group. Please use the contact form alongside if you would like to offer to help us – no previous experience necessary!

In the last year the young people in the Group have taken part in activities as diverse as Bell Ringing , Scuba Diving , Football , Mountain Walking , Rounders, Narrow boating , Camping , Caving , Canoeing , Rifle Shooting , Archery , Night Hikes, Day hikes , Village Walks , Litter Picks , Christingle Service  and the Remembrance Day Parade.
